In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink, about 8 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove the ground beef to a paper towel lined plate to drain. Set aside. Reserve at least two tablespoons of the grease in the skillet.
Add the onions, celery and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté the vegetables for an additional 8-10 minutes until they are tender. Return the ground beef to the skillet.
To the skillet, add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Pour the sauce over the ground beef. Stir until combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve on hamburger buns.
