  • 1 ½ cups finely crushed graham crackers
  • 1/3 cup butter melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Bake crust for 7 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  • Layer chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans over graham cracker crust. Pour condensed milk over the top.
  • Bake for 25 minutes. Cut into squares before serving.

Cooled Hello Dolly Bars can be left in their baking dish, just cover the dish with a layer of plastic wrap to keep them from drying out. They can be stored for three days at room temperature and up to one week in the refrigerator.
Baked Hello Dolly Bars can also be frozen. If left in a baking dish, I recommend placing a layer of plastic wrap over the surface of the bars to prevent frost from accumulating, then covering the dish with aluminum foil. You can also wrap cut bars individually in plastic wrap, then store in a plastic freezer bag. Allow the bars to thaw at room temperature for a few hours before serving.
