Tomatillo Salsa Verse Sauce
Tomatillo salsa verde sauce, or "green sauce" is a popular condiment used in Latin American cooking. Making it yourself at home is easy!

- 1 pound tomatillos husked
- 1 white onion peeled and sliced
- 4 garlic cloves peeled
- 1-2 jalapeno peppers optional
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- 1/2 lime juiced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Arrange tomatillos, garlic cloves, and jalapenos on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil. Stir until ingredients are coated.
Roast for 12-15 minutes. Allow everything to cool slightly.
Pour everything into a food processor. Add the lime juice, then process until ingredients are combined and sauce is your desired consistency.
