Everything Bagel Sweet and Salty Chocolate Covered Pretzel Rods

These chocolate covered pretzel rods are coated with semisweet chocolate, then rolled in salty everything bagel seasoning. If you are a sweet and salty fan, these tasty snacks are for you!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds
  • 3 tablespoons dried onion flakes
  • 3 tablespoons dried garlic flakes
  • 1 (3.25 ounce) jar chocolate sprinkles
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons coarse sea salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 24 pretzel rods

Instructions

  • Combine sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried onion flakes, dried garlic flakes and chocolate sprinkles. Add salt sparingly. Remember, if you buy salted pretzel rods, you may not need too much additional salt. Once combined, set mix aside.
  • Melt chocolate chips on low heat in a microwave or in a double boiler on the stove top. Stir in the vegetable oil until smooth.
  • Spread the seasoning mix out onto a plate or layer of aluminum foil.
  • Brush each pretzel rod with a coating of chocolate. While the chocolate is still wet, roll the pretzel rod in the seasoning mix until it is well coated.
  • Allow pretzel rods to dry on a rack. Store in an airtight container.
