Simple Syrup

Every home cookshould know how to make simple syrup at home. With only two ingredients, the processis "simple" and the uses are endless.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Pour the water into a medium saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium high heat.
  • Add the sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool completelybefore transferring it to an airtight container.

Simple syrup should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If stored properly, simple syrup will last in the refrigerator for up to one month.
